The state AG's brief tells you all you need to know right up front with the questions posed: "redefine marriage" and "novel standard of review" combine the discredited talking points of the religious right and of BLAG's pathetic legal team in two succinct paragraphs.
The funny thing is that neither one is on point, particularly their first question: marriage is inclusive in several states and DC. DOMA does not speak to legal same-sex marriages at the state level and is not what's at issue in any of these cases.
