BLAG moves to stay Pedersen case

BLAG has asked the Connecticut District Court to stay proceedings in Pedersen v. OPM until the appeal in Windsor is decided. Both cases are in the 2nd Circuit.

    Very interesting tidbit in the memo:
    "The House now is preparing a petition for certiorari in the Massachusetts case, a petition which it intends to file by the end of this month"

    So, looks like the Supreme Court will be deciding in October whether to take the DOMA case or not (versus BLAG asking the 1st circuit for en banc, etc.).
