BLAG files notice of appeal in Windsor

BLAG didn’t waste any time filing a notice of appeal in Windsor v. USA. This is the formal notice to the district court that the decision is being appealed. I’ll have a case number as soon as it’s docketed w/the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, which might not be until early next week.
We can also expect the DOJ to appeal, as it has said that it will stay with these DOMA cases in order to get a final resolution, which presumably means all the way to the Supreme Court.
