- Florida has elected its first openly gay state legislator.

- A gay candidate in Wisconsin won the Democratic primary and will go on to the general in an attempt to hold Rep. Tammy Baldwin’s seat; she is running for Senate.

- And Baldwin will challenge Tommy Thompson, who won his primary election last night.
