- A proposed anti-bullying bill in Illinois was defeated.
- Another same-sex binational couple is spared from deportation.
- CBS Sports notices a shift in attitudes on gay issues in sports.
- From Colorlines, “People of Color More Likely to Support Gay Marriage Than Whites”
- Yesterday Bryan Fischer, the anti-gay leader of known hate group American Family Association, tweeted a racist comment about “the Obama Plantation”
- ExxonMobil will consider banning discrimination against LGBT people.
- There is a new DNC/Obama campaign LGBT outreach site. Geidner at Metro Weekly has more.

I was thinking of you Gregory when I read that,, it is hopeful
""We welcome this remedy that for now will offer a measure of common sense and compassion for this Vermont couple," the statement said. "All three of our offices have worked hard to support this loving and committed couple who have been unfairly prevented by DOMA from enjoying the rights and benefits that all lawfully married couples deserve."

Good ol' NOM. Now they're quoting our old pal Velveeta King as saying that MLK was her grandfather! So, is it NOM or Velveeta or both who messed with with the genealogy? (He was her uncle.)

Yes, but isn't tiresome we have to fight for each of these couples, one at at time?
The admin should just issue a blanket ban on deporting all same-sex spouses until the SCOTUS tells us if DOMA is unconstitutional or not.

Velveta may be at the stage where she's wanting to disguise her age?

I would make a joke about that pastor not knowing the difference between being hung and being hanged, but that would be in poor taste.

And her limited relationship to MLK? "Grandfather" sounds so much more important than "uncle" ……………

Off Topic, but:
Preserve marriage Washington is now showing they have the required number of signatures (minus the padding for disqualifications) to place ref. 74 on the ballot in November. They've now got a week and one day to get that padding.

thanks (I guess) for the update.
Let's HOPE they don't get the padding.

I would say, the referendum will most likely be on the ballot but I hope marriage equality forces in Washington state will GO TO THE MAT in making sure every single signature is, in fact, valid.
